...one of my children said - "I have just liked every part of the day even if we don't win any prizes. It has been brilliant!" This is the first year at the Celebration of Engineering, having only started a club in January. I thought that we would be completely out of our depth but it didn't matter. We had a wonderful day and we learned much. The organisation was superb. The children were totally engaged from start to finish, using and developing a huge variety of skills within the four capacities of the Curriculum for Exellence. And most of all, we had such fun!

| Eleven North East clubs enjoyed an action-packed day hosted at BP's North Sea Headquarters at Dyce on 12 November. The event sponsored by BP and Shell allowed clubs to share best practice and test their problem-solving skills by tackling hands-on technology challenges set by 10 companies. We also enjoyed excellent presentations from Bucksburn Academy, Newtonhill Primary, Kenmay Primary and Mearns Academy. |
