Increase student employability by gaining industry recognised certification. The Oracle Academy 2012 will be held in Edinburgh from Monday 23rd July - Friday 27th July 2012. This is the first time that the Academy will take place in the United Kingdom and, as a result, this provides an excellent, cost effective opportunity for teachers from across Britain to attend and further their professional development. The Big Bang is now inviting extra-curricular clubs involved in any science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) activities to be part of The Big Bang 2012, to be held at The NEC, Birmingham, 15th -17th March 2012. Clubs can play a part in The Big Bang by putting on a club showcase during the event.

Celebration of Engineering 2011 - Friday 10 June 2011 |

Over 600 young engineers, scientists, teachers and companies from schools all over Scotland enjoyed an action-packed day at the annual Celebration of Engineering and Science event which was held at the Glasgow Science Centre on 10 June.
The event saw fierce competition from over 60 schools who showcased their engineering/science activities and competed in exciting three-minute STEM challenges set by 20 members. Clubs
also had the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities provided by Rampaging Chariots, Bloodhound SSC, The Institute of Physics and Thales. Strathclyde University also displaying the Makerbot 3D printer.
The event also hosted the Inaugural Junior Green Energy and Junior Saltire Prize Awards.

A total of 19 Awards were presented, with Alness Academy, Inverness, winning the accolade of "Club of the Year 2011". |
