Over 550 young engineers, scientists, teachers and companies from schools all over Scotland enjoyed an action-packed day at the annual Celebration of Engineering and Science event which was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Glasgow Science Centre on 11 June.
The event saw fierce competition from 50 or so Clubs which showcased their engineering activities and competed in exciting three-minute technology challenges set by 27 members. Clubs also took part in hands-on science experiments provided by the Glasgow Science Centre, the Institute of Physics and Jess Cooke of Young Engineers and Science Clubs.
A total of 9 Awards were presented, with Inverclyde Academy, Greenock, winning the accolade of "Club of the Year 2010". |
