Celebration of Engineering 2008
The 2008 Celebration of Engineering was held on Thursday 12 June at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and the Glasgow Science Centre.
The Celebration of event for SCDI’s network of Young Engineers Clubs was a great success. We had a record entry of 60 Clubs from all over Scotland, from Orkney to Dumfries. Twenty-seven companies set technology challenges and fifty or so guests came along to view the action. In all, over 600 schools pupils, teachers and companies took part. Event Partners were Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, Lloyds Register and OPITO.
